FABRICS & COLORS

Our primary fabric is sueded rayon in plain, georgettes and jacquard textures. We also use tencel, linen and cotton. Prepared for dying (PFD) fabrics are from sample cuts and full line wholesale yardage using ten to fifteen different fabrics each cutting. I design, draft, and size patterns to my understanding of our customer’s needs and to fabric choices. I also draw markers and set sewing sequence for grainline and overall finished quality. Completed garments are dyed.

I love playing with color -- choosing colors that compliment individual personal coloring. Most are in mid to dark tones and a few select brights. We dye six to nine colors at a time and colors adding new colors each season. Four or five garment pieces each in three sizes and in ten plus different fabrics and six plus colors, well wow!!!. This gives lots of variety with only a few the same in each garment, size, fabric, and color. There is always something new.
